10. Keresztre feszítés – Crucifixion

A legtöbb ábrázoláson mindezek a maguk zaklatottságában láthatók: érződik, hogy a szögeket és a kalapácsot nagy hirtelen vitték oda. „Alvó szegek a jéghideg homokban.” A létrára már a művelet elején szükség van. A kendőre viszont a legvégén, hiszen abba csavarják majd a holttestet a sírba tétel előtt.

A kockák mindig ott lapulnak az unatkozó katonák zsebében, hiszen valamivel agyon kell ütni az időt, míg a keresztre feszített ember megfullad, és még arra is lehetőséget kínálnak, hogy egy brutális játék keretében döntsenek arról, kié legyen a köntös. És természetesen ott van a töviskoszorú, amit a haldokló fejébe nyomnak
